ScopeWorks Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 June 2026.
About These Terms
These terms apply to the ScopeWorks public website, project scoping workspace, suggestion features, checkout, paid export versions and downloads. ScopeWorks is part of Charity Egg. Contact: hello@charityegg.co.uk.
Who May Use ScopeWorks
ScopeWorks is intended for churches, charities and people acting for those organisations. By using ScopeWorks for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority for your role. Organisation owners/admins may manage billing or export choices where enabled. Project users may enter or edit project information where invited. Viewers and support users should only use the access they have been given.
Account And Access
You are responsible for keeping login details secure where account access is enabled. Creating or using an account does not automatically give full admin, payment or export access. Organisation project records and paid export records are private to authorised owners/admins, project users, buyers, viewers or support users according to their approved role. ScopeWorks may suspend access for security risk, misuse, non-payment, refunded entitlements or attempted access-control bypass.
What ScopeWorks Provides
ScopeWorks helps users create draft project scopes, room and area schedules, early cost plans, schedule rows, specification notes, British Standard or guidance references and Excel export versions. The workspace may include optional schedule suggestions. Suggestions, templates and rough costings are planning support only.
ScopeWorks is not a quantity-surveyor appointment, architect appointment, survey, legal service, building-control approval, fire-safety assessment, structural report, M&E design, tax advice or professional sign-off. You must check quantities, rates, VAT, statutory approvals, professional duties, building condition and local requirements before tender, appointment or works.
Payment And Billing
ScopeWorks is designed for paid project/export versions. Prices are shown before checkout where paid access is available. Stripe handles checkout and card processing.
A paid export version applies to the project snapshot submitted for that payment. If the project changes later, a new export version may require a new payment. Refunds, cancellation and defective export handling are covered in the ScopeWorks Refunds and Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use ScopeWorks unlawfully or to mislead trustees, funders, contractors or regulators.
- Do not enter unnecessary sensitive personal data, safeguarding information, HR cases, payroll details, medical information or confidential evidence into the workspace or suggestion prompts.
- Do not try to bypass account, payment, entitlement, export or download controls.
- Do not resell, republish or redistribute paid exports or ScopeWorks templates outside the licence unless agreed in writing.
- Do not treat suggestions or template wording as professional advice or final approval.
Your Content And Responsibility
You remain responsible for the project information, measurements, assumptions, rates, notes and organisation details you enter. You are responsible for checking exported content before relying on it or sharing it with trustees, funders, professionals or contractors.
Intellectual Property And Licence
Charity Egg / ScopeWorks owns the product, software, layout, templates, wording and generated starter structures except for user-entered project content and third-party rights. After payment, the named organisation receives a limited internal-use licence for that paid export version. The downloaded Excel file is not copy-protected, but the licence does not allow resale, republication or redistribution as a competing template/product.
Availability And Support
ScopeWorks will use reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but maintenance, outages and provider issues may happen. Support requests can be sent to hello@charityegg.co.uk.
Liability
ScopeWorks provides practical planning support. It does not replace professional advice or local verification. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending Or Suspending Access
You may stop using ScopeWorks at any time. ScopeWorks may suspend or revoke access for non-payment, refund, misuse, security risk or legal obligation. Project, export and order records may be retained where needed for support, security, accounting, legal or dispute-handling purposes.
Changes To These Terms
ScopeWorks may update these terms as the service, providers, account model, payment flow, pricing or support route changes. The updated terms will be posted on this page.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
